Enlighten Encourage Empower Embrace Explode
The older I get, and the more my body reminds me that I am not 21 anymore, the more I realize that I am not my body.
Ask anyone who is a bit grey, and they will tell you that the wrinkles may deepen, but the soul still jumps on the bed.
My soul demands chocolate at midnight, and then it giggles like a six year old.
Many people would start a "Who I am" with their occupation, or the fact that they are a parent, or maybe a hobby they identify with. I, too, usually default to, "Mom of Ben and Dan, retired schoolteacher, massage therapist, daughter of Ken and Sandy, sister of Ken Jr. and Vicki, partner of Jeff, friend to all..." All the outward hats we wear that point to who we may be.
But the truth is, I am love. I am the energy of love, when I am being my most authentic self.
I believe we all are.
When I look at you, I am looking for that love energy. Because I know it's in there. It's in me, and it's in you.
Some of us have just forgotten a bit. And that's ok. If it's your path to remember who you are,
then you will.
I am the light of my soul.
Jeff and I were in Niagra boarding the boat for the falls tour. I noticed that one of the young guys manning the line was saying, "Namaste" to everyone of color, in particular to those that appeared to be from India, which I thought was kind of funny in a naive way, and I asked him if he knew what Namaste meant. He said he didn't.
"It's actually a kind of prayer, and blessing, and an honoring, all in one," I told him. "It means, I see the Godspark in you, and I honor you for the divinity that I know is your true essence, and that I know is also my true essence. When you are coming from a place of love, that's your Highest Self. Every time you make your choices and decisions from a place of love, instead of out of fear, you are in alignment with your divinity. And the same for me. So when we BOTH come from love, we are one and the same.
I am you, and you are me, and we are both divine.
That's Namaste. I bow to you. "
I try to live my life in Namaste with the world, and I find that it did not take long to become just a habitual way of being. I've always been an empath, so I feel others' emotions, both pain and joy. It's no stretch from there to Unity Consciousness. I care about people because in a real way,
they are me. If we can look for the similarities between us, and not the differences, we will have the connection we seek. Because, fundamentally, we are all the same. We are love.
I think that's the essence of me.
In-ti-ma-cy. Into-me-see.
Thanks for caring to look.
